I own a 2010 polo vivo. 3 years and 2 months old.(only 2 months out of warranty) Only 40000 kms done and I have an oil leak. Vw lindsay saker quoted me R 23 000 to repair it. The problem was a seal in the steering rack which packed in. This is unacceptable for a car only 3 years old with a mileage of 40000 kms. I emailed vw sa. Lindsay saker then took my car for four days without reporting back to me. After I contacted them I was told they would pay half of the cost. That is still unacceptable as it is a manufacturers defect. I emailed VW SA twice more and do date have heard nothing from them. Further more this is a budget car. The cost of repairs to these cars are ridiculous. Ive also had numerous other manufacturers defects with this car which ive not mentioned. I would like VW to repair the car at their own cost.
