Mercedes is not Mercedes

Cars & Transport

Took my S600L to Mercedes-Benz S.A.-Malmesbury Motors when the R-F shock began to sag. Workshop chief, Leon Smit said diagnostics indicated the shock was damaged (R27k). Collected car after 2mnths but next morning the car was flat on it's belly. I returned the car 3 times in -3months with no progress. Eventually mr. Smit said they misdiagnosed the shock and that it was the engine valve module which needed replacing( -24K).2 more mnths but it had not arrived so I told mr. Smit i found a repaired module for R1800.He said he would replace my old shock and reimburse my 27K.Afer 2weeks of calls I'm transferred to dealer principal, Adriano Folsch who said i would receive my refund and would call me back. He did not. When i phoned he said he would not refund but would clean up and re-sell the shock at which time (may take forever) he would refund half my 29K.I called MBSA's D.P, Ettiene van Dyk who said he couldn't care because MBSA-Malmesbury Motors is not affiliated with them. Then in comms with MBSA's consumer line for 2weeks, Lance Munier also said i would get a full refund but then gave me the runaround. Roy Mac Alister, head of MBSA said, tough luck. Does the public know that Merc S.A.is not Merc S.A
