Vehicle breaks down four times after repairs

Cars & Transport

Christopher Theodosiou - Dealer Principal

The company vehicle has been at you dealership four times in the last two and a bit months. The first invoice was for R 14365.41 on 3/4/2013 (Estimate Number - 44920). Thereafter the electrics were never the same. The car broke down and was again back there for electrical repairs on 29/4/2013 R 434.12 (Invoice Number 99952). Again it broke down and again it went back for repairs on the 10/05/2013 R 270.70 (Invoice Number A0391). It broke down again in Queenstown on 17th or 18th of May and was temporarily repaired by a Ford dealer there - R360.24 Excelsior Motors invoice 6136787. When it returned to East London it was immediately taken to your workshop. After about a week I was assured that the auto-electrician had checked the car and that it was perfect. The car then broke down on the 7/06/2013.

When trying to speak to Theodosiou about this issue I was told "It is one of those things - it happens" by his assistant, cut off twice and told by the switchboard operator that he is on a call and in a meeting in the space of the same telephone call.

Obviously customer service is not in this dealerships vocabulary.
