Quoted price on a vehicle suddenly goes up

I bought a Tiggo last week. I went into the dealership, test drove it and chose a blue automatic. I was quoted R 149k. Twice the salesman went back to Nicholas and confirmed the price with me and witnesses.

I applied for finance and signed an offer to purchase with the salesman. I also had PDC's fitted, updated my insurance and signed a 3 year Netstar contract. The Netstar was fitted there. I was able to supply the registration number to all who needed it. I arranged to collect the vehicle on Tuesday.

3 hours before I was to collect, I had a call from Nicholas saying that he had given me the wrong price and only quoted on a manual, not an automatic. When I asked about the signed OTP, he said that HE had never signed it and so there was no agreement. If I wanted the car I would have to pay an additional R 25k, and basically I could take it or leave it! He also point blank refused to give me the number of his regional manager, even though I asked for it 3 times.

I took the car but I am extremely upset about the way I was forced into paying more for it at the last minute. I still have no second key (R 2600 to buy one) and the whole deal has left such a sour taste.
