On the 29th of May 2013 I took my wife's 2006 VW Polo 1.6 Comfortline to Mcdulings VW for a noise on the front left part of the suspension. Five hours later I was contacted by them to let me know that the front top shock mountings were the cause of the noise and it would cost R 2584.10 Vat incl to replace the supposedly damaged parts. I agreed to the price and gave the the go ahead. Three days later after many different stories from the dealer I was told that it was in fact the shock absorbers that were noisy. Now the shock absorbers were replaced by Supa Quick on the 8th of January 2013. I collected the car and drove it straight to the Supa Quick. They agreed to replace it under warranty, but before they could I noticed grease on the front right tyre and called the dealership immediately. They requested me to bring the car back, which I did. An hour later the car was "Ready". After enquiring as to what happened, i was told that the CV Boot clamp had come loose and that they cleaned it and that the grease had been replaced. I drove straight home and after inspection found that the grease was still leaking. The car is now in a worse condition than it was when I took it to them.
