My Kia Sportage went for a 240 000km service on 8th May at Kia Sandton. I collected the car at 4.30 and drove straight home ( - 5km). The next morning I left early for a meeting in the Freestate and smelt something but thought nothing of it as my car had just been serviced. I then arrived at work ( - 8kms) to collect a work mate and he commented on the strong smell of diesel. On inspection I found that the diesel was spraying into my bonnet from the back right side of the engine. I drove back to Kia Sandton. On inspection by their Mechanic they realized that they had forgot to clip the filter in correctly and corrected it. I commented about the loss of diesel and the inconvenience caused and was ignored. Due to the incompetence of Kia staff; 1) I missed an important meeting in the Freestate 2) Spilt about half a tank of diesel on the road (including outside Kia) 3) Stained my home drive way paving (I have pics) 4) Stained my work parking area paving (I have pics) 5) Had to valet my car as the whole back side was covered in diesel. I have had no apology or follow up or compensation. Due to the inconvenience and expense I have had to suffer because of Kia
