Cars & Transport

In 2011 I purchased a Corsa 1.8 bakkie (the one with the Chevy badge) from the CMH GM dealer in Boksburg. I took it back the very next day because the gears are grating and it is surging. The workshop foreman responded that the syncro rings must still bed-in and the software needs updating? I get promised that the workshop foreman or service manager will be contacting me every time I receive a call from their CSI agent. Needless to say, I am still waiting for those calls. The bakkie went to 3 different franchised dealers namely;
CMH GM Boksburg - the selling dealer. They show no interest in my problem. Williams Hunt in Fourways (Bidvest) - they did the 15, 000km service as well. The bakkie went back a few times without any success. Key Delta (Imperial) in Isando - they did the annual/30, 000km service as well. I am still awaiting their response after I informed their CSI agent that the bakkie was there for more than a week and is still not repaired.
I am now convinced that repairers are getting an incentive from the manufacturer GMSA if they do not claim on vehicles while still under the factory warranty. Repairers do not invest in good mechanics anymore, it's about the bottom line.
