Being handed over for no reason

I I was owing money to avis for a car I crashed which I made an arrangement to pay off over 6 months. I then paid a lump sum on the account and was going to pay the rest over the period of 6 months. I then was called by avis and requested to make a new arrangement which I did and am paying all of a sudden I''ve been told that I'm handed over and must pay more money then what I owe to the collectors. I phoned them as per the smses I was sent and was informed that my account was not supposed to be handed over and it will be retracted and I should keep paying them as per my agreement which I am doing. Now after continued smses and emails from the collectors I asked the same lady if my account was retracted then I was informed that she is not dealing with my account anymore and I must speak to the collectors who just tell me I must make arrangement and pay them which i'm not willing to do as there is no reason to be handed over and they have added extra costs to my bill I have had no luck in sorting this matter out.

I am still trying to resolve matter and nobody in avis accounts seems to knowing or able to explain to me the reason for being handed over.
