Food Poisoning

My story is that of Food posioning. All I want to know is what can Mac Donalds do now to aid me?
Last week Saturday I bought a Cajun Burger on my way to work. It was a busy day at work and so by 11am that Saturday I opened my Burger to eat. The burger seemed fine until the last half. I took a bite and got quiet an odd taste (sour to bitterish). Immediately i put it aside, drank some water and continued with my work.
The very next day which was the Sunday, I fell extrememly sick. Naseau, vomitting, diarreah, stomach cramps and a terrible headache. I went to the Doc on Monday and was booked off, doc associated this to a Viral Infection as I didn't even think that it could have been food poisoning, On Wednesday my symptons worsened and I went back to the Doctor. Thats when i thought of the ODD tasting burger as I didnt have the flu, i just had all the symtons pointing to Food poisioning. My medicals bills totalled TO almost R1200 and I was away form work for 4 days. WE ARE REGULARS at this mac Donalds but eversince we have not bought any take out after that experience!!! I do have a doctors note and I do believe that my Burger was not Edible. What does mac donalds have to say?
