Pathetic Rude Service by St Elmo’s Tygervalley

I ordered pizzas from St Elmo's Tygervalley
After 1 hour I inquired on the progress of the order when I was told the driver left 20 min ago and they didn't know his whereabouts, but will phone him and get back to me. After another 20 min I phoned again, speaking to the manager, I was told very irritated and rudely the order went out already.
I cancelled the order. Her reply - the pizzas was already made, but ok. 5 min later the pizzas arrived.
My compliments to the delivery guy for extremely professional and friendly service. Maintaining the sale in the process.
I phoned the owner regarding the incident. He told me they might have been busy - no problem, but then tell the customers that in advance and when they phone back; as people aren't unreasonable. Don't shift the blame to the driver whom works for tips.
The owner informed me, he operates on a 90% customer service level, he makes R 25 000 p/h and won't feel the loss of 1 customer, but he'll get the manager to phone me.
The manager phoned, telling me this never happened, she never said the pizzas are on its way, but apparently needs to apologize as per order by the owner for something that never happened. It's pathetic!!!
