Complaint turned into Compliment

I'm actually not sure whether this should be a compliment or a complaint but following the very good attitude and response by the/one of the manager (s) I have decided that a compliment is perhaps the correct way to go.
What started out as a disastrous evening for my family of ten finally turned into a fairly decent night out thanks only to the way this manager treated us. He went beyond anything we, or rather I, was expecting. A huge thumbs up and thanks to him.
Prior to his intervention we were subjected to numerous errors and long delays with our orders of drinks and pizzas. Because of what the manager did I will now no longer be listing these problems but will just say that never have I had such bad service from any waiter anywhere else in my life. However, apart from the errors with our pizzas, I will say that we were given beers to drink out of the tin and with straws!! This was corrected.
On the plus side I must say that I have been to this same eatery before and had decent service and that I will be going there again in the future. However, if the manager, and one or two of his other staff, had not stepped in and helped then I doubt that this would have been the case.
