St Ives Restaurant
No Main Course

We booked a week in advance for a 76 Birthday lunch and travelled from Durban just for the lunch, a round trip of 230 km. We had 3 young kids so were in between the jungle gym a lot. Trouble started when trying to order our main course. The Manageress took the order from part of the table but not from our end. We subsequently placed our order with a waitress. Our family were already onto their deserts and we were still awaiting for our mains when a waiter mentioned that there had been a mix up. We said not to worry as it was a bit late for that now. When our bill arrived the 2 meals that were not delivered were on the bill and we requested this be removed.

The problem is waiters as there is no waiter attending to your table and various staff are moving around, you just have to try get their attention.

The restaurant was busy but the inside tables were free, so would imagine it was as busy as any other Sunday.

Just poor service. Next time we will stick to something closer to home.
