We visited Mugg & Bean Kollonade as they know how we drink our coffee. Cappuccino, no milk & cream. We received = Std cup one shot express cream up to the brim. So it's cream with a dash of coffee then? We then saw our usual (and favourite) waiter and asked if she can sort it out for us. Helen (which we found out was the owner) came and asked "exactly what's the matter". We asked why there's so little coffee. Responce... The espresso machine it set on automatic(?). Anything (incl. hot water) would have been in order; as long as there's SOMETHING to DRINK! We then asked what's in a "normal" Cappuccino. Her response was espresso, milk and topped with cream. We asked if she could exchange the milk for something else. She explained that she suffered a loss as she had to compensate by adding additional cream at a cost of R5, 50. Here the crux. Extra espresso = R3, 50 / extra cream (for free) = R5, 50. Loss of R2 is suffered. She voided the drink altogether and suffered a loss of R14. So she's got no business acumen and no client interaction skills. Mugg and Bean is this really the type of Franchise owners you want to run your business?
