Butchers Block
Overrated&way too expensive for Poor Food&Service

I would just like to express my unsatisfaction with the Butchers Block Restaurant in Woodmead at the Holiday Inn Express. Much to our disappointment and regret. When walking in to the Restaurant, there was no one who greeted you or asked if you would like to be seated. We were merely looked up and down as if we were from out of space by three waiters standing casually by the till. I eventually asked if we could please have a table for 4 people. The waiter hardly even responded and I found myself walking on looking for our own table. Drinks... well, Cappachino machine was not working and the bar did not sell Draughts? I mean, such an expensive and 'elite' restaurant? We waited almost 1 and a half hours for our Food. Lamb shanks, may take long... understandably, but surely not that long. The vegatables were hard and disgusting. The ribs, which mind you, only came 5min after the Lamb were hard and dry. Salad had no dressing on and the baked potatoe was not even cooked properly. When asked to see the manager a lady from the kitchen (still wearing her hair piece) came out and obviously had no idea to handle a complaint. We sent the ribs back and went to KFC down the road.
