As Waiters

On Friday, 08 February 2013, my friends and I had dinner and drinks at Dros in Midrand. Towards the end of the evening, closed in we were to wait the storm to finish and were the last 5 people left. Upon exiting the restaurant, before we even go to the car I realised i left my mobile phone on the counter, where we were sitting. Since everyone (waiters) was still inside the restaurant, I thought to call my phone. To my dismay, the phone was already off. We went back to knock on the door. No response. I came in the next day to enquire. The manager claimed no phone was brought in. Comment by 'our' waiter was that no one would anything from the position we were sitting at as the cameras zoom into that spot. My point is that, we hang out regularly at Dros yet we cannot relax as waiters help themselves to patron personal items. We know Dros is not liable for loss, however, we go there to relax, mostly people who hang out there know each other and are regulars. 1 Patron as well lost her keys there to be told no one had handed any in. Its a pity that we cannot trust the waiters. This behaviour is apauling. the point is that these people thrive on that we relax then mistakenly forget
