Tolbos Bistro BAD SERVICE!!

We went to Tolbos Bistro in Gansbaai today. They advertise themselves as the Seafood specialist. I ordered Calamari and could choose between rice or chips. I chose rice, but were told that their rice was sold old!! Then I said chips is fine. I asked what the vegetables for the day were and was told it was pumpkin and green beans. After waiting for about an hour, the food finally arrived. The calamari was terrible. It wasn't tender at all. The chips tasted like it was fried earlier during the day and then re-fried later. The vegetables turned out to be a mash of carrots, potato and pumpkin that also tasted terrible. My fiance ordered seafood pasta and surprise surprise, it tasted like nothing. The food wasn't fresh and the service was terrible. We asked the waiter to let the manager know which he said he would, but no one came to talk to us. Eventually we left. Not worth the R200 we spend on this food!!!
