On 31 january 2013 my husband and i with our 17 year old daughter made oir annual trip to the wilgers hospital in pretoria. Our daughter has cerebal palsey brain disorder and had a very big back operation in 2008. As a result we take her for her annual checkup and then pop into wiesenhof for a cuppacino and a snack before we make our way home: on our arrival the waiter showed us to a table around the corner and literally in the corner. With limited space to manouvre the wheelchair we eventually sat down. There was open tables in the front of the restaurant. We ordered our cuppacinos as we do and then looked througnthe menu. We noticed the very pricy meals and decided that the burger would have to do. Before we ordered the waiter returned and asked that we remove the wheelchair (we had seated our daugter in a chair) as no one could sit at the table across from us as the wheelchair was in the way and the manager was going to moan. I refused as they had seated usmin the very cramped area in the first place. The table next to us received their meals, a hamburger the size of a mcdonald kiddies burger but stacked high with lettuce. This was priced at R60. Bad service. Overpriced.
