Numerous times over the last year upon attempting to order ice cream at Hungry Lion in the Shoprite centre, I have been told that either the machine is out of order, they have no dips or that the ice cream is too soft to sell. Many times when I placed a food order, people that ordered after me received their orders first. Once again today, after being told the ice cream is too soft, we sent our black friend in after us to buy ice cream, and he returned with a perfect ice cream covered in caramel dip (2 minutes after our attempt). We went back and complained only to be told (the ice cream was soft then but it isn't now), to have the manager hide from us, and to witness the staff laughing among themselves behind the counters like it was a joke. Business is business regardless of your race and I'm quite shocked that the staff would discriminate. I will not be returning there ever again and would not recommend anyone else bother doing business with them.
