Pistachio's Restaurant
Evening ends badly

Saturday evening after the Currie Cup final my husband and I met up with some friends for dinner at Pistachio's in Durbanville. We were greeted in a friendly manner when we arrived and the waitron that served us was most efficient. The bad times began at around 21h50 where our waitron was instructed to come and enquire if any desserts would be required, as the kitchen closes at 22h00.

We subsequently ordered our desserts to accommodate her request. HOWEVER upon receiving our desserts we all found that the restaurant had all of a sudden become very warm, hot in fact. We enquired with the waitron if the air conditioning had been switched off, to which she replied, sorry yes, but I can arrange to have it turned back on. We told her not to bother, we got the message.

At this time there were still 4 other tables with patrons in the restaurant as well, we all left within 10 minutes of each other, us being the last to leave.

In closing we just felt that the whole evening, including excellent service, was totally spoilt by the way we were moved along to finish up and please leave and we will not be returning anytime soon. We have also in the past recommended it to friends.
