Mr Delivery
Lack of transparency re charge to credit card

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

I placed an order on mr d website, today Sat 5th October 2013. I approved a credit card transaction for R200.00. I then got a phone call from the Milnerton branch to confirm the order, and at this point nothing was mentioned about a price increase that is not yet reflected online. Also no mention of my total charge that will be applied to my credit card. I then received an SMS notification from my bank that R216.69 was drawn from my account. I think that it is unacceptable that no one mentioned that the online menu is outdated, and no one confirmed the total charge to my credit card with me. The branch explained that restaurants do change prices at their discretion and that "Mr Delivery cannot keep up with all the changes". In my opinion, customers should be informed if a credit card charge approved online differs from the actual price of the order, or at least the total charge should be confirmed with the customer just as the order is confirmed via telephone (what comfort do I have the the actual charge to my credit card aligns to Spurs menu?).
