The Local Grill
Un-impressed!

My friends and I wanted to order some takeaways for lunch at The Local Grill, Parktown North branch. We have heard of some great reviews about the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to it. We were greeted by an unfriendly person named "Malume". When we told him we wanted to place an order for takeaways, there was a somewhat of a reluctance. One of the orders requested was for a chicken liver stack, though, substituting the potato with stir fried vegetables. The reply (with a matter of fact attitude) from Malume, was that it was not done and that the vegetables had to be ordered as extra. How inflexible and unaccommodating is that, if this is the case? It appears that the restaurant prides itself on quality all round, gauging by the rating one can give on their website, which has 3 options: satisfactory, good and excellent. I attempted to complete the rating, merely selecting 'satisfactory" to get my complaint through. The result was some silly default/error message and therefore my message did not go through. We simply voted with our feet and simply, will never return.
