Shocking Service

On Monday 12/08/2013 I took my wife for a dinner to the Keg and Swan in Sunridge, Port Elizabeth. We ordered a couple of passion fruit and lemonades, before ordering their Republican Pie which was on special at half price. The restaurant was not that busy and after 35 min of waiting I asked where the pies were. I was told that they were waiting for the chips. 25 min later (1 hour after placing our order) I asked where our meal was. I was told that they were still waiting for the chips. I cancelled the dinner order and asked for the manager. He apologized, but offered no explanation and had a rather flippant manner, as he tried to trivialize our issue. It would have gone a long way to repairing the damage if he had offered the drinks on the house, but we were forced to pay for our 3 passion fruits and lemonade. It was an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth. I wont be going back there. I suggest that they train the staff to offer service, not just lip service.
