FIRST TIME IN A LONG WHILE - BUT NEVER AGAIN

Decided on the spur (no pun intended) of the moment to go to Texakhana Spur Rosebank. Completely forgot this branch does not serve alcohol but could live with that. Did not know that it was "kiddies eat for free" night until we were seated. Children ran amok the whole evening without supervision or any intervention from management or parents. What if there was an accident? Who would have been liable? Ordered lamb ribs with veggies - no chips. Arrived with chips; no veggies. Chips removed. Veggies warmed up in kitchen and eventually brought on the side whilst ribs were getting cold. Ribs were paper thin, sinewy, drowning in basting and without taste. Must have been the leanest lamb slaughtered which landed on my plate. No water on the side to damp and clean my hands with. No manager in sight for whole horrible experience. Veggies mundane and ribs terrible. R115.00. What a rip-off. Recommendation: go to a drive-in Mac / KFC and enjoy value for money. Spur will never see me again. The worst dining experience in years and feel having been ri (bb) ed off...
