I took my sons of 5 years and 1 year old to the Spur in the Grey Owl Village this afternoon. I was alone with the two kids and asked for a table for 3 close to the playground. I was informed that all the outside space was booked for parties and was informed by the waiter that I should sit inside. I fully understood that I did not book a table outside but as I was alone and the kids are still small I asked if a chair could be placed outside for me away from the booked tables and the waiter refused. Now if outside space is reserved only for parties this Spur has a problem as there is no space for parents to supervise their kids playing. Who will be responsible for the children if the parents are forced to sit inside? I then decided to leave as I cannot leave my kids unattended in a play area. On my way out I mentioned this issue to the manager who didn't even respond to my complaint. I found it so distasteful. What a disappointment for my 2 little kids. Big thumbs down to you Grey Owl Spur. Luckily there's two other Spurs close by who are always ready to help customers.
