Just went through the KFC drivethru in Randpark Ridge, placed my order and handed them my credit card. They swiped it and I clearly heard the notification from FNB to confirm it had been accepted. The teller then told me that it had not gone through on their system and that they would not give me the food either. I showed them the sms confirmation.
The manager then suggested that I put it through a second time and that the bank would then reverse the duplicate payment. I explained to him that I did not have the amount available to be put through a second time but he insisted and tried again. Not surprising it declined. I asked him to reverse the payment and he said that it would be but that he would not reverse it on his speedpoint machine??
He then told me that I could not have the food I had paid for. I insisted that they give me the food and that this was, to which he got all aggressive and told me to leave and that they would under no circumstances give me the food or my money back!!!
FNB confirmed that the money had been deducted from my account.
I must say that I am truly disgusted!!
