Who is running this place??

I was throwing a bridal shower for a friend of mine. I phoned La Boca 3 weeks in advance to ask if they would mind accommodating this. I asked to book the upstairs room with tables and chairs for 25 ladies for 2pm on Saturday. The bride would just be opening presents and everyone would order off the menu.

On the morning of the bridal shower I popped in at La Boca at 9am to ensure everything was in order. When I asked about my reservation, they didn't know what I was talking about. They showed me their diary and my name was not in there. I was really shocked, but they said that they still had space so made sure to book the room for 2pm as I originally planned.

When I arrived at 1:30pm to set up the decorations I had brought I went to the room I booked and there were no chairs or tables there. Nothing was set up!? So I asked what was happening and why the room wasn't set up as I had booked for the second time and no one could help me. Everyone's response was rather dull to say the least. With just 15mins to go at this stage I was scrabbling to get chairs and tables upstairs before all the guests arrived.

It was incredibly unprofessional & lax & embarrassing for me as the host.
