Freshly baked in stor evryday? Wat false advertisin

On 12th May, mothers day, we took our mom to brunch. Boy, will that be my last visit to mugg and bean! My sister & I ordered meals with croissants&the waitress came back 10 minutes later to tell us they ran out. How does a national coffee shop franchise run out of croissants at 10am?

She then brings some croissants in with bacon, which we CONFIRMED numerous times that we do not eat for religious reasons! So she came back with new ones 10 mins after the rest of the family's meals. She then says that they bought some croissants from spar! Seriously?? If we wanted Spar croissants, we would have went to spar and saved R100. So what about the advert on TV that claims your food is freshly baked each day?

We called for the manager who insisted that the croissants were not from spar and off he went to yell at the waitress (probably for telling us the truth). He came back to tell us there was a misunderstanding&that she had actually gone to the coffee shop next door (Zaras). Like that was supposed to be acceptable? The manager had no name badge &had buttons missing on his shirt. Such a dismal reflection& a complete mockery of the mugg and bean name. We paid the full amount and left disappointed
