Unable to use card won in give away

My mum received a Steers card with supposedly R300 credit in a Sunday Tribune give away.

She tried to make a purchase and was told the card had no value whatsoever, she was utterly embarrased by this and paid for the meals in cash and left the store.

Since then she has tried contacting the store, store manager, store owner and eventually the Steers head office and has been given the run around for over 3 months. i find it utterly disgusting that a national franchise runs a competition in conjunction with a serious news paper but cant see fit to honour their give away.

The service she has received is totally appalling.

Don't give things away if you can't honour what you claim to.
