I applied for a Gold Cheque Account on the 9 April 2013, i received a sms that my bank card will be delivered shortly and the courier company will be in contact with me on the same day. (FNB advertises you will receive it within 72 hours) A week later i still did not receive any communication from the courier company. I called FNB on the 18 April and they advised the courier company had been given an incorrect cell phone number. My card was then delivered on the 19 April as it had been sitting at the courier company for two weeks already. My account is still not active and I have not been able to access my money for the past two weeks. I have called in numerous of times since the 19 April and I have been told a different story every time. This is my second Cheque Card with FNB I have had no problems with my first account and I am very disappointed by the terrible service I have received from FNB with my new account and by the fact I cannot access my own funds.
