I have two banking accounts with Standard Bank, a current account for my business & a personal plus plan account for my personal banking. I suddenly noticed that all my personal transactions at retailers were not being debited to my plus plan account but to my business current account. When I verbally attacked a cashier for not entering the correct account on the pin machine she confirmed again that she had correctly entered savings & not cheque account.
My 'great' bank with whom I have been a client of 40 years plus having a business account today advised me that my plus plan account had been closed & transferred to an access account. Thanks for letting me know!!! No communication from either my business banker or a SMS? Who is going to explain to SARS about the personal transactions on my business account? I'm disgusted that not even a SMS was sent given that I receive transactions notifications for this account & have had this cell number for 14 years.

I think it is really time for me to change banks if this is the type of customer service afforded a long time client with a business account.
