I applied for a loan, Monday 15 April 2013. It was approved, signed contract submitted documents. On Tuesday when I called in to find out the progress, consultant from head office said it was processed and approved and the system said payment was going to be made. Today, Wed 17 April, I called again and was told that it was suddenly captured that I was a staff member of African Bank, how did that information suddenly change. I then called the Branch I applied at to find out how this was possible, they were also confused, because it was captured correctly on their side. They said they were to call their HR to confirm that I am not employed with them.
How does the system just change information, I am an existing client and have been for over 2 years, this was not the services I expected from African Bank, as they have been treating me well thus far, I get my statements emailed to me every month, and payment has never been an issue.
All in all, I'm happy with service received at the Branch, but Back Office needs a skills upgrade or maybe your systems need upgrading?
As this error has delayed payment and it now going on 96 hours TAT, which is unacceptable
