I'm a FNB Gold cheque account holder. I was in need of cash over the weekend, I then tried using the temporary loan feature for the first time, the message came back over 5 times that there are no loan services available. I then went to the bank (pinelands) to find out what's the matter, and I was told FNB gives the temporary loan on a 'random basis'. I then decide to apply for an overdraft. The overdraft facility approved me for R8000, but I said I only need a R2000. Then the system wouldn't deposit the funds into my account, then the consultant phoned her relations manager who said she'll get back to her which she didn't while we waited. I then signed the 2000 quote and left and she promised the funds will be deposited in my account by the end of the day. That didn't happen. This inconvienced me so much and I'm very upset. I pride myself in knowing I have a good credit record, so there can't be a problem there. FNB cannot woe us to the bank on false promises, u promise good banking and you should deliver to us. As customers we have a responsibility to pay our banking fees, which we do, now u give us a proper service because we pay for it. Is this what I switched over for?
