Settled Account but Still not updated on ITC

I decided to settle my credit card account and close it, I then obtained settlement & paid same in and was informed on the 01.02.2013 that the account had been closed and I would get a letter confirming the same.
I never got the letter despite more than 6 calls to their contact centre, on Transunion ITC it shows that I have an active account with a full balance R15 700 still oustanding. All attempts to escalate matter with FNB did not yield any results.
