Still Blacklisted

I had a Blue Bean Credit Card and was handed over to Debt Collectors due to financial constraints. Since last year my financial position hugely improved and I have settled all my debts that was due to my creditors. I have paid the Blue Bean Debt Collectors, Sterling Debt Recoveries and received a settlement letter on the 19 November 2012.They assured me that they have notified Blue Bean to update my credit records. They also instructed me to contact the Blue Bean Credit Card Division on 086 1112807. A consultant gave me a Ref no:50794596 (surely I have not sucked this out of my thumb) and told me to wait 21 days. I phoned them after the 21 days and a consultant told me it is updated. I've recently applied for a loan and it got declined and I obtained a credit report and it indicated that I have never settled my account with them. Have I known this, I would of not wasted my time wth any loan application. This is my last resort as I cannot believe a word a Blue Bean Consultant is telling me and clearly someone is not doing their job.
