Way forwad regarding my late brother's pension Fun

My late mother received an call last year from one of the consultants from liberty asking my mother to provide prove that my mother was financial depending on my late brother.i couldn't t understand at all what they have been asking from my mother.from there my mother starting getting sick when she thought how her son has passed on, even when she got the stroke she was still talking to Thato from Liberty Life.
So this morning i called ThaTO AND TOLD HER about my mother, she didn't t even saw any remorse., she just said if your mother is late then there is nothing we can do about.
please Liberty Kindly explain to us how does this things work.so that me and my brother can have closure regarding our late brother pension Fund,
