OVER A MONTH AND MY ACCOUNT IS STILL NOT CLEARED!!

My vehicle was written off and the insurance company paid out on 14 December. At the end of December I was surprised when the debit order once again went off my account. Upon querying this, I was advised that no payment had been received and my account was therefore not settled. I immediately obtained proof of payment from the insurer and forwarded on to Customer Services at SBVAF. After being referred from one Department to another, sending numerous e-mails and making phone calls, and obtaining and forwarding both the proof of payment and the remittance advice from my insurers, my account is still not settled. It seems that on-one can be bothered to help or is prepared to take responsibilty.

I have been a client of Standard Bank for 20 years, but will definitely be taking all my business away from them once this matter is eventually settled.
