In Feb 2013 I decided to increase my car installment from R3725 to R8000 to save on interest. I phoned Standard Bank and asked them to implement this at the end of March 2013.I repeated end of March a few times. The first week in March the phone calls started. I was told by Standard Bank that I owe them R4275.I realized that this is the difference between the old and new installment and told them that this is only supposed to start at the end of March and that they must please clear my name. It never happened. They called me 2-3 times a day demanding payment. They were so rude. I have never been so humiliated. Eventually I told them to just cancel the increased payment cause I simply could not handle the stress anymore. They refused and pointed out it is my mistake and that I must pay them. After 3 weeks of them hounding me they finally realized that it was their mistake. They said they would rectify their mistake. I told them then to cancel the increased installment cause I simply do not trust them anymore. They promised to do this, but they did not. I complained about this and asked for a refund. I have not been contacted yet. I don't know what to do anymore. They just don't care.
