I received a letter stating i was in arrears with R210.00 on my bond and that my debit order would be changed as well as my total repayment over the full term. We are paying anything up to a R1000.00 extra permonth but we are in arrears. BUT when i called the prelegal department i was told by not one but 2 consultants that my account is not in arrears. Then i called the normal assistline wher i was told there as well that we were not in arrears. Our issue is that our credit record is affected and do you think i can get a letter from Standard bank apologising for the mistake and that they will have it corrected on ITC? I gave them a deadline to have this done by the 27th of March 2013 C.O.B. NOTHING!!! Just give me a letter thats all i want and that the account is not in arrears - how can 3 Standard Bank consultants same the same thing???
I am not one who likes seek legal advise but i am willing to go the extra mile on this one just because they have a "don't care" attitude.
