Excellent Service in a Difficult Situation

I recently opted to withdraw funds from an investment and to reinvest the funds again. Unfortunately (and in spite of my explicit instructions) the investment company handling the deposits didn't time the debit order correctly, which resulted in the debit order being charged against my Absa cheque account 2 days before the funds were actually available.

Absa's credit department came to my rescue. I was contacted by an Absa representative, Julia Weppenaar, who arranged for Absa to provide credit for the transaction. Julia assisted me in obtaining the necessary proof of payment from the investment company to prevent the transaction from being reversed, which could have been disastrous for my personal credit rating.

Julia was both helpful and patient, and seemed to have my best interest at heart at all times during our dealings. She went above and beyond by contacting the investment company personally to see what arrangements could be made. I appreciate her help immensely, and am proud to be an Absa employee given this calibre of service.
