1) Phone the call centre on 0861462273, select to speak to an operator, first have to listen to a long advertising spiel about using my credit card to purchase fuel and prizes to be won - competition ends NOVEMBER 2012!!
ABSA IS STILL LIVING IN THE PAST AND I ALSO HAVE TO CARRY (PART OF) THE COST OF THE CALL.

2) New smart credit cards issued - have to go to the branch to activate them - now all my other accounts are also linked to secondary (wife's) card - when she had to pay for servicing her car the amount now went of my savings account with additional fees and creating a cash flow problem.

3) With smart card I now have to enter a PIN at the cashier - same PIN as used at the ATM - extremely insecure environment - cashier and all the other customers in the queue can see PIN being entered on a large (sometimes) keypad - this can now be an invitation to a criminal to attack me too obtain the card if they have already observed me entering the PIN!
