First For Women Insurance
Cancellation of policy

Business & Finance

My name is Paula Thekiso, on Monday the 18th March i received a call from First for women Insurance as per my agreement with a sales person of Hyundai Roodepoort dealership, named Lebo as i am in the process of buying a Hyundai i20. Lebo told me that the vehicle will be ready for collection on Friday, 22 March. I received a call from Andre of FFW and confirmed that am interested in using First for women as my vehicle insurance. However my sister who is helping me pay for the car deposit told me that we need to compare quotes before we can confirm any cover. On Tuesday, 19 March i decided to cancel my insurance policy with FFW as i have not bought the car yet. However, this afternoon I spoke to a salesperson from FFW who informed that i would be required to pay FFW a 2 month premium of R2 066.15 by Friday, 22 March although i would have not bouht the vehicle yet. My question is how can i be expected to pay insurance, 2 months premium for a vehicle i don't have. FFW consultant insists that they will deduct R2066.15 from my bank account on Friday, 22 March whether i have the car or not. Please help.
