Bad Service and no feedback after a month

On the 26th February an amount of R5964.00 was taken by electronic payment out of our banking account and paid to some Logistics company. We lodged a complaint to the dept and had to do an afidavit confirming that we did not do this transaction. They promised us 10 days to sort it out. We received 2 phone calls stating they did receive the affidavid. Today 20/3 they phoned and said they had not received it. I have spoken to so many people already. When we phoned today I spoke to Jenny and she said they have received it and it is with IT and will still take another 3 days. How long must a person wait to get your money back or even an answer. On the 26th March it will be a month since the transaction. In the interim our debit orders have been sent back, who will be carrying these costs and give us our good name back at the bank. How does a person survive without your money for a month? Really thought standard bank had more portection on your bank account and will look after their clients in such instances.
