Following up, but call dropped continuously

I am attempting to follow up on a third party claim with Virgin Money's Legal Department, I made at least 5 calls yesterday after the calls kept being dropped. On the last call, apparently the consultant i needed to speak to was unavailable, and I left a message for her to return my call. But to no avail.
I have again today phoned the call centre, and again, as soon as they put me on hold, they drop the call.
This is unacceptable, and I need an urgent response as to the status of my matter!
