Really Disappointed with FNB home loan Service

My wife & I applied at Fnb for a new home loan as first time buyers. After a week of waiting we get feedback that the loan has been approved at only 85% leaving us short of 15%, We have been clients of FNB for such a long time and the good reputation they have we really thought we would get a 100% bond. Working out the balance that is short makes such a small difference to the monthly payments. I have queried the quote received and were told that we need to write a motivation letter for 100%. This really disheartens a first time home buyer!!! to think that you have so much trust in your bank and at the end of the day they not willing to help you when you need them the most.
