I am unhappy with my bank and due to the positive things I have heard regarding FNB, I have tried to get them to be my business and personal banker. I tried once before, but it proved challenging so I left it. Subsequently I thought I would try again. On 26 Feb I called the branch around midday and left a message saying I wanted to move my business and personal accounts to FNB. I only received a call back the following day. Not great as here I was trying to give them my business. I arranged to come in and meet with someone at the bank. The person I met was very friendly and I thought that all my problems had been solved. That day, I sent her an email thanking her for her time. She did not reply. A week later I mailed her asking if there was any news as to when I could come in and sign on. I had a simple query and just needed confirmation that FNB could assist. She replied that the person who was responsible for that was unavailable. I asked her to please let me know asap. A week has passed since my last mail and I have still not heard back. The FNB marketing is superb, but it needs to be backed up by those people responsible for securing the new business the adverts bring in.
