Discovery Insure
No Roadside Assistance provided at night

Our car broke down at night in an area far away from the city, in a place that wasnt necessarily safe looking-with my newborn baby & parents in the car. Discovery offers free roadside assistance and we called the emergency number. Apparantly after hours they contracted the service to a third-party company. They couldnt pick up my details on the system with my name, surname, ID number or even policy number. After a long discussion, this third party offered me assistance but at a cost as they had no proof that I was a Discovery Insure member. I had to pay for towing my vehicle and now need to claim it back from Discovery Insure. I'm not sure if this is breach of contract but I can say I was very disappointed and frustrated knowing how Discovery prides itself on quality service. If they cannot assist me in emergencies, what use is an insurance company to me? A night emergency is more crucial than day! They were supposed to have sent me a claim form yesterday but I never got anything. Yet another phonecall and a waste of my time and money.
