If you value your money, stay away from 'fnb'!!

Dear member of the public, I am one ANGRY individual, however I am not powered by malice. I urge you to please be warned about 'fnb' in general no matter what branch you choose to go to.
A few months ago my partner and I opened up a bank account with 'fnb'..a smart account to be precise (smart account not so smart after all.be wary!). We were told by the bank worker in the 'fnb' branch in Northgate mall, Randburg, Johannesburg that we are going to be paying R50 per month and that would cover ALL expenses from bank charges to teller withdrawals. This was a savings account. After the first few teller withdrawals, we realised that we were being robbed off way too much in bank charges with each withdrawal, so we were put off and stopped using the account for a short while.
A week ago we decided that we are rather goingto close the account.as we will never use it again. To our horror we discovered that our 'savings' account was sitting in a minus balance and to close the account we need to pay it first or they hand us over to the credit bureau. After we disputed the charges, they reduced the price and still handed us over to the credit bureau without warning. They closed the account tho..Be warned(;
