BEWARE OF REGENT (MERCEDES BENZ INSURANCE)

I instituted a claim for a car accident I had on 19th February 2013. Regent authorised my claim and I was singing their praises. hOWEVER, they, did not bother to send through the authorisation to the panelbeaters (RENEW-IT SANDTON). My vehicle was just chilling at RENEW-IT, awaiting authorisation. Because nobody from Regent bothered to follow up on the progress of my car, they did not realise that RENEW-IT had not received the authorisation. It was only when I started asking questions that they realised they had sent the authorisation to the wrong panelbeaters. My car has been at RENEW-IT for a whole month and NOTHING has been done on the car. Now Regent wants me to return the rental vehicle I have, although it was due to their incompetence and bad attitude that my car has nicely been chilling at RENEW-IT for a month without anyone touching it. The point of the "30 day car rental" clause is that insurers will ensure that panelbeaters repair cars within 30 days (or at least a reasonable period thereafter) I still dont even know when I will receive my vehicle. Could be another 30 days or so! Now, they are blaming RENEW-IT. I am taking Regent to the Ombudsman for Short Term Insurance!
