Is the "Free Insurance" real or a?

I visited the branch to assist my late mother's frail carer in claiming against the free insurance. When received by the consultant (Bronwyn) she advised that she is not familiar with the process where the employer dies. She then took advice from a supervisor and informed us that the policy only covers the client in the event of their death, not in the event of the death of the employer.

This is absolute rubbish as the death of an employer is one of the legal grounds for retrenchment. I requested to see the manager. Crizaan, the assistant manager, attended to us and claimed that there has to be three payments before the insurance applies. I took one of the CAPITEC pamphlets, which was in the booth in which we were being attended to and pointed out the clause stating that the insurance covers 50% of the loan where the loan is LESS than three months old. Yet again an attempt at getting out of the claim.

It was evident that Crizaan was in contact with someone in Head Office, so it is possible that this problem extends far beyond the branch.

Had I not assisted this lady, I have little doubt she would have been sent away empty handed.
