A week after loan application

Good day.

I applied for a personal loan almost a week ago, the day of receiving the call I was constantly in meetings. Since then I have called more than once and have been on hold usually about ten minutes at a time. Then today I resorted to applying for a temporary loan and was told I cant be assisted as the system controls this. I would not push this if I did not have an unforseen emergency. Could we clarify one of these urgently?
